Validations PDF Print E-mail

The validation process comes up between subjects of different kind of studies (for example, from the Economics Degree to the Business Administration and Management, or from the Law Degree to Economics). In the academic report, the subject will APPEAR as "validated" showing the qualification obtained by the student.

We talk about adjustments when the subjects are part FROM the same studies, whether they are from the same program or different one (for example, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business Management FROM another town who moves to our Faculty). WHEN A TRANSFER OF ACADEMIC REPORT IS DONE, the exhausted exams sessions are processed and for the subjects already passed ARE RETAINED THE ORIGINAL MARKS. The core subjects are always adaptable. In the case of compulsory and elective courses, the "adjustment" should be made subject by subject. When a student is transferred to our Faculty and has passed the WHOLE first cycle FROM the Degree in the ORIGINAL FACULTY, he will have all our first cycle recognised independently of studied SUBJECTS.

In any case, whenever a student attempts to ask for validation or adjustment FOR a specific subject, he/she should request it through AN application form, according to the following procedure. In order to simplify, we will use the term "validate" for both meanings ("validations" and the "adjustments").

It is important to highlight the specific case of mutual recognition BETWEEN second cycles FROM Economics and Business Administration degrees.

The first cycles of Economics and Business Administration degrees are both validate reciprocally and automatically with the basic "Complimentary Studies” MENTIONED above. It is the responsibility of the student to rectify the gaps IN knowledge THAT REMAINS. Students who have studied all or part of the second cycle may request the validation FOR specific subjects FROM the other degree.
