The Faculty of Economics and Business Albacete began its work in 1989. In this academic year, 2009-2010, begins teaching the new Graduate Studies, both of Economy as Administration and Management, in line with the convergence criteria of the European Higher Education Area. Adapting to these new plans will take place gradually, so that, in parallel, for some years, we will take also the bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration and Management, respectively, being the only centre in University of Castilla-La Mancha where it is taught the first one.
The Centre is the result of the enthusiasm and commitment of all who make it possible: teachers, administrative and services staff, professionals, companies and organizations that work with us and over all, our students. Our main aim is to train students in a whole way, in abilities and skills to help them to fulfil their professional work effectively and efficiently, in addition to a strong ethical and social commitment. As well as with technical knowledge, we also want to make professionals with values. We intend to consolidate their personality, promoting habits, abilities and skills that will be required in the labour market. We think our study project in a flexible way, looking to introduce methodologies, perspectives and changes consistent with changing in business and social demands.
The Faculty of Economics and Business is a clear example of the effort that since its inception, over the years, has been developed at the University of Castilla-La Mancha to offer a public university education.
Achieving this goal requires from all the people involved, teaching and research, administrative and services staff to deliver services with a continuous improvement aim on the way to establish a system of internal guaranteed quality. It means to develop a process of constant monitoring, improvement and revision of the results.
This process is not only demanding with teachers and administrative personnel and services, but also with students who are required to high dedication and effort, whose contribution will be critical to achieving the goals.
Finally we hope that the joint use of this guide and our Faculty’s website will be useful for students and lecturers to get clear and interesting information which serves to make easier and speed up the administrative procedures to be carried out. Moreover, it should be a way of communication and continuous improvement in all aspects that affect the functioning of the Faculty. As Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, on behalf of the members who take part on it (lecturers, administration and services staff, and students), is quite an honour to welcome all who is able and wish to have an interest in our institution. |
