The Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering
The Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering was founded in 1994 following three missions: to become a technological reference center in training for Industrial Engineers, to develop technological research of high quality, and to improve the industrial network of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha.
Our School has experienced a remarkable development which becomes apparent in different aspects. Currently it has a modern building and laboratories with the most advanced equipment. It has highly a qualified Faculty, which has been working in research projects during large stays in the best Universities and Research Centers of the world. Actually they still collaborate extensively with those research groups. These professors have experienced and imported to our School the best training and research systems in the world. As a result, our studies are highly demanded by students in our region and, despite of being a young School, we are one of the top Industrial Engineering Schools nationwide based on the national student markings from student applications.
Our School has a modern program which perfectly combines a general engineering training, allowing you to work on the different engineering fields, and a specialized training in the fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology Engineering and Industry Management.
The relationship among faculty and students is very important to us, so the class groups are reduced in size and there is a consulting and follow-up program of students. The personalized help for students is also emphasized with the Student Assistants Program – granted senior students which help freshmen and sophomore students.
Our mission as School is that as student you receive the most possible complete training. Hence we are boosting our Industry Internships Program and our International Student Exchange Programs, mainly with European Universities.
As a result, we offer you an exciting training project, both from personal and professional points of view. Our desire is that you take the best advantage of all the resources we give you access to and that you become a successful and qualified engineer; as the rest of our graduates: almost all of them are currently working in their field of knowledge. In the 2010/11 academic year started the new degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Industrial and Automation, in accordance with the Bologna agreements. The master in Industrial Engineering will start soon.
